About

Lives and works in Tallinn, Estonia

Magdalena Ataman, born in Poland, is a designer and painter living in Estonia. She completed her MA in Art at University of Arts in Poznań, Poland, in 2011. After a brief experience in architectural offices, she turned to visual and product design. Since then, she has been working in digital world for about 10 years. In 2022, she returned entirely to painting, her beloved field of art. During her studies, she attended the painting studios of Prof. Andrzej Klimczak-Dobrzaniecki and Prof. Norbert Skupniewicz. Inspired by life in Estonia, she draws from its nature, people, and emotions. Through her artwork, she explores the concept of nostalgia, the relationships between the seen and unseen, as well as purpose and chance.
